Arbetet på fartygsbryggor består till en stor del av kontrolluppgifter. Operatörerna, bryggteamet, har därför kontroll-  och alarmsystem till förfogande. Samspelet mellan människa och system beror delvis på användarens kunskaper och erfarenheter och delvis på bryggdesign och teknikens användarvänlighet. Arbetets ämne är hanteringen av alarm och alarmsystem på fartygsbryggor.  Syftet  var att  undersöka om det finns strategier för detta och i så fall att belysa hur dessa strategier ser ut. Därför undersöktes sju styrmäns erfarenheter med kvalitativa metoder, med halvstrukturerade intervjuer och med innehållsanalys.

The report begins with a general inventory of possible technical faults in a hydropower plant and of possible fault indicating measurements. Then an investigation is made concerning a few different faults. Based on this investigation a choice on seal box condition and water leakage is made as problem for a more thorough examination, in which it is concluded that the turbine water leakage is larger when the turbine is put into operation. The examination ultimately results in a computer alarm for faults related to the seal box. Aim: The aim was to investigate the ambulance nurses experiences during a specific ambulance missions that led to usage of LUCAS ?.Method: Participating ambulance nurses were randomly assigned from a total sample group of 12 women and 39 men. Five women and five men participated. Qualitative interviews were conducted, where the Critical Incident Technique approach was used. Collected interviews were valued using qualitative content analysis.Result: Interview texts were divided into three domains, 10 subcategories could be identified which were sorted into three categories.

Supervision has a strong impact on students` professional development. It is during clinical education that students will receive help in linking theory and practice. This study aimed to describe the meaning of good supervision among nursing students in clinical practice. A qualitative design was used. Nine nursing students in western Sweden, who had all experienced good supervision in clinical practice, were interviewed.The interviews were analyzed using a descriptive phenomenological methodology.The meaning of the phenomenon, good supervision in clinical education among nursing students, was shown as the students were gradually piloted to increased responsibility.

This report is regarding an electrical installation of an alarm system on a post fishingboat called Andromeda. The background of the installation was an earlier andinadequate alarm system that led to a motor failure. When traffic in large cities increases, it becomes more vulnerable to disturbances such as accidents, stalled vehicles or construction; therefore, traffic jams are more likely to occur. For better control of the traffic at a disturbance the Swedish National Road Administration (SNRA) has traffic equipment which can be controlled from a command centre. This traffic equipment consists of gates and signs with variable messages. This report will discuss the system used for traffic control in Stockholm. It will present proposals designed to improve it.

The purpose of this study was to depict some elderly people?s experiences of personal safety alarms. Furthermore, the aim was to look into whether there is any difference in experience between men and women and depending on their level of care. Using a qualitative method, semi-structured interviews were carried out with eight elderly people; six women and two men. The main questions of the study were: How do the elderly people experience the practical use of personal safety alarms? In what ways, if any, do the elderly people experience that the personal safety alarm has changed their daily life? In what ways do the elderly people experience that the personal safety alarm effects their ability to stay in their own home? A cognitive perspective was mainly used to analyze the results.

The aim of this study is to, by individual interviews focusing on specific dimensions of supervision,examine how integratively educated PTP-psychologists experience the interactionin the supervision they receive as a part of their PTP-work and to describe if and how theyexperience that these components of the supervision promote, does not exert a direct influenceon or restrain the preservation and development of an integrative psychotherapeuticapproach and -attitude. The eleven people who are interviewed for this study all belong tothe group of psychologists who graduated from the first group of psychologists with an integrativepsychotherapeutic approach at Örebro university in the year of 2007 and who arenow completing their PTP-work. The interviews were analysed according to a qualitativecontent analysis. Syftet med denna studie är att studera mediernas rapportering kring ett antal specifika händelser kopplade till SOS Alarm. Med vår undersökning avser vi att bidra till kunskapen om hur tidningarna Aftonbladet och Dagens Nyheter framställer SOS Alarm i sina nyhetspubliceringar. Mediernas rapportering är viktig att studera då mediebilden av SOS Alarm kan påverka allmänhetens förtroende för denna viktiga samhällsaktör. Detta är viktigt på grund av att den bild och på det vis som medierna framställer olika händelser påverkar människor, vår sociala och kulturella kontext, att se och uppfatta verkligheten vi lever i. Medierna utgör ett kraftfullt verktyg för människors åsikter, värderingar och påverkar människors beteende.Studien har använt sig av kvalitativ textanalys och inriktat sig på 43 tidningsartiklar från Aftonbladet och Dagens Nyheter.

This is a qualitative study based on eight interviews, four of which have been probation inspectors and three have been external controllers, or controllers as they say, and one have been an email interview with the headquarters of the correctional treatment. The interviews have been made on probation service offices in southern Sweden.The purpose of this study is to investigate how the professionals in Probation service see their work with intensive supervision with electronic monitoring. We are interested in their work from mainly three aspects, how they look at their control, how they see the intensive supervision with electronic monitoring as collective punishment and how they work with the client's family.In our results it emerges through interviews that probation staff in general find it difficult to work with the Children Convention (CRC) and the law when it comes to intensive supervision with electronic monitoring. They mostly do not believe that intensive supervision with electronic monitoring is a collective punishment for the adults but when it comes to children it becomes a longer discussion with different arguments and thoughts.Our results have found that in comparison to prison, most people seem to find that intensive supervision with electronic monitoring is a decent punishment. Most of the professionals are aware, and think it's important to recognize, that they are in a position of power in relation to the client.In the analysis, we establish an outcome from the interviews into our theories and trying to find a connection between them..
